Everyone wants to live a long life - but what use is a long life expectancy if health and quality of life do not keep pace? This is exactly where the concept of longevity comes in - active health care for a long, vital life. It's not just about gaining years, but about experiencing this time in the best physical and mental condition.
Why do we age differently?
Not everyone ages at the same rate. While some people are still full of energy even in old age, others struggle with health problems early on. The reason for this lies in a combination of genetic factors , lifestyle and environmental conditions. Although we cannot change our genes, we can influence how our body deals with these conditions.
What factors influence healthy aging?
Healthy aging is based on several building blocks that together help to keep the body and mind productive for a long time:
Nutrition : A balanced, anti-inflammatory diet promotes cell protection and regeneration.
Exercise : Regular activity maintains muscles, joints and the cardiovascular system.
Mental health : Stress management, sleep quality and social contacts have a major impact on our mental and physical condition.
Cellular health : Factors such as energy metabolism and oxidative processes determine how quickly our cells age.
Prevention & Diagnostics : Through regular health check-ups, risks can be identified early and actively influenced.
